How the Judging Actually Works

Winning isnā€™t a popularity contest, and it isnā€™t a decision made entirely behind closed doors either, itā€™s both, on purpose. Every nomination starts on Instagram, where properties and their guests show us, not just tell us, why a place deserves the title, and from there the field narrows through a scored review and a public vote that genuinely moves the needle.

That score itself runs on one fixed sheet for every property, so a villa with five rooms and a resort with fifty rooms are judged on identical terms: ratings and review volume across Google and Tripadvisor make up 80% of the total, while genuine honeymoon focus, how built a place actually is for couples, fills the rest. Only after all that does our own team walk the shortlisted properties in person, before anyone gets to call themselves a winner. There are no nomination fees and no way to simply pay for a win, the same process and the same formula apply to everyone.
